Today’s Perspective Shift

To: designing what enters
Theme for the Quarter: The Clarity OS
Theme for the Week: Q1 Reset + Recommit (what to prune, what to deepen)
Monday: We built the Prune List.
Yesterday: We killed the Maybe Tax.
Today: We clean the information channels shaping Q2.
“Clarity grows where excess is removed.”
✨ In Today’s Episode:
Why input clutter quietly erodes strategic thinking
The cost of an unmanaged information diet
The Input Window method
The capture system that protects signal

Reset Your Inputs.
Because your brain has an algorithm too.

🧠 ONE Smart Idea
Reduce inputs. Raise signal.
If Q1 felt scattered, check your intake.
Too many newsletters.
Too many Slack channels.
Too many “must-read” threads.
Too many AI tool updates.
Too many podcasts.
Information abundance feels productive.
It’s often distracting.

📖 Story Spark
A founder told me:
“I feel like I’m always behind on trends.”
We reviewed his subscriptions.
22 newsletters
7 podcasts
14 Slack channels
5 AI communities
Multiple “daily” feeds
He wasn’t behind.
He was flooded.
We cut half.
Installed an Input Window.
The result?
Less FOMO.
More focus.
Better execution.
Because clarity beats awareness.

⚙️ Tactical Application: The Information Diet Reset
Before Q2 begins, clean the channels shaping your thinking.
Run this in order.
1️⃣ Audit Your Subscriptions
Open your inbox and subscriptions.
Ask:
Which 3 actually sharpen my thinking?
Which are habit, not leverage?
Unsubscribe from at least five today.
Yes. Five.
Signal improves immediately when volume drops.
2️⃣ Install an Input Window
No more all-day grazing.
Create one controlled window for consumption.
Example:
30 minutes mid-day
Or 45 minutes Friday afternoon
Or 20 minutes post-work
During that window:
Read intentionally
Capture insight
Close it
Outside that window?
No scrolling.
No feed hopping.
No “just checking.”
Boundaries create clarity.
3️⃣ Build a Capture System
Insight without capture evaporates.
Choose one:
Single running “Insight Log” doc
Structured swipe file
Dedicated notes folder
Personal knowledge base
If something matters, write it down.
If it’s not worth capturing, it’s not worth consuming.

How Jennifer Aniston’s LolaVie brand grew sales 40% with CTV ads
The DTC beauty category is crowded. To break through, Jennifer Aniston’s brand LolaVie, worked with Roku Ads Manager to easily set up, test, and optimize CTV ad creatives. The campaign helped drive a big lift in sales and customer growth, helping LolaVie break through in the crowded beauty category.

🧭 Intelligent Elevation
The founders who think clearly
consume selectively.
Signal is scarce.
Noise is abundant.
And your strategic clarity will always mirror your input hygiene.
You cannot build a focused Q2
on a scattered Q1 feed.
Design what enters.
Protect what stays.

💬 Closing Insight
Before you open another tab today…
Ask:
Is this sharpening me — or scattering me?
Cut five inputs.
Install one window.
Build one capture system.
Because your mind is the first system you scale.
“An unmanaged information diet creates reactive strategy.”
