🧠 This Week’s Perspective Shift

From: asking AI for “ideas”
To: prompting for outputs that earn their keep

Theme for the Quarter: Operational Leverage With AI
Theme for the Week: Prompting for Outcomes (ROI-first prompting)

Quote of the Week:
“AI doesn’t create leverage. A clear outcome does.”

Justin’s Weekly Reflection

This week felt like turning AI from a toy into a tool.

Most founders don’t struggle with AI because the model is weak.
They struggle because the prompt is vague.

We ask for:

  • “ideas”

  • “suggestions”

  • “what do you think?”

  • “write something good”

And AI politely returns… a buffet.
A lot of words. A lot of options. A lot of “maybe.”

Which creates the real hidden cost:

decision inflation.

So this week we did the grown-up move:

We stopped prompting for conversation.
We started prompting for outcomes.

Because when your prompts have:

  • a clear deliverable

  • a constraint

  • a quality bar

  • and a “definition of done”

AI becomes leverage.

Not noise.

Now for the recap …

📬 Weekly Recap: Prompting for Outcomes (ROI-first prompting)

This week was a builder upgrade:

Stop asking AI to think “about” your business.
Start assigning it work that produces outputs you can ship.

Here’s what we installed 👇

This Week’s Highlights:

Monday - Stop Prompting for “Ideas.” Prompt for “Outputs.”

“Ideas don’t move the business. Outputs do.”

You learned how to:

  • replace open-ended prompts with deliverables

  • define what “done” looks like before AI starts

  • force usefulness with constraints (format, length, audience, purpose)

Tuesday - The ROI Prompt Formula

“If the prompt can’t produce ROI, it’s just entertainment.”

You learned how to:

  • use a repeatable formula that ties prompts to business outcomes

  • set success metrics inside the prompt (time saved, quality improved)

  • reduce rework by stating inputs + outputs up front

Wednesday - Prompt the “Thinking,” Not the Answer

“Better thinking beats better typing.”

You learned how to:

  • ask for tradeoffs, assumptions, risks, and decision criteria

  • use AI as a reasoning partner (not a confident guess machine)

  • turn vague choices into clear next steps

Thursday - The “5-Minute Brief” That Makes AI 10x Better

“A short brief beats a long prompt.”

You learned how to:

  • write a tiny brief that eliminates 80% of prompt back-and-forth

  • define audience, goal, tone, constraints, and “definition of done” fast

  • create reusable briefs for recurring work (emails, SOPs, offers)

Friday - The Quality Gate Prompt

“Don’t ship drafts. Ship approved outputs.”

You learned how to:

  • make AI check its own work against a rubric

  • catch errors before they hit customers (tone, clarity, claims, structure)

  • install a simple “approve / revise / reject” workflow so you’re not the cleanup crew

🎁 Today’s Sponsor:

Your ads ran overnight. Nobody was watching. Except Viktor.

One brand built 30+ landing pages through Viktor without a single developer.

Each page mapped to a specific ad group. All deployed within hours. Viktor wrote the code and shipped every one from a Slack message.

That same team has Viktor monitoring ad accounts across the portfolio and posting performance briefs before the day starts. One colleague. Always on. Across every account.

🏆 Tip of the Week:

Friday — The Quality Gate Prompt

Because most “AI productivity” dies right here:

You get an output… and then spend more time fixing it than it would’ve taken to do it yourself.

The Quality Gate solves that.

It forces AI to:

grade the output

find gaps

tighten structure

remove fluff

and deliver a cleaner version before you touch it

If you revisit one idea this weekend, revisit this one.

It’s the difference between “AI drafts” and “AI ships.”
